Nice shirts for the summer from my pal Scott Hansen at ISO50! Printed on American Apparel’s new Tri-blend tees, for $23.

Scott Hansen (AKA ISO50) knows how to impress our staff. Every move he makes completely floors us, take a look at what we've written about him in the past. Now that ISO50 has reached a level of god-like designer status on this blog, the design community and the world (see his Obama prints), his music provides a soundtrack for his decorations. Check out Scott's new tracks “Adrift” and “From Home” on his website or pick them up excusively on iTunes.

Scott Hansen (aka ISO50) has been a favorite of ours for a while. The man is a triple threat — and in the awesome way, not the Broadway er, way. This month he premiers a new print, Northern Lights, under the ISO50 label. It has mountains. It has elk. It has the seal of approval from Computer Arts magazine and K2 snowboards! Why aren’t you purchasing this limited edition signed print? Also up for the visual designer are a few gigs from his music project Tycho; if you’re an Austin native (or just couldn’t find a flight out after South by Southwest) you can go down to the Mohawk on March 20th and stand there as he fills your earhole with lush, inspired music.

As we've previously mentioned, our pal Scott Hansen a.k.a Iso50 has quite the penchant for producing premium prints. Okay, now that we've got all of the alliteration out of our system we can tell you that he's also one hell of a musician, serving as the sole soundsmith behind the band Tycho, which “creates rolling sonic landscapes that extend off into the horizon and blends swirling melodies into vaguely triumphant arcs that crisscross between stuttering beats and vocal samples”. Hansen's musical tendencies seem to compliment his artistic ones so it certainly makes sense that they be displayed in concert with one another at an actual concert. If you find yourself in Chicago on February 23rd, you may want to check out both of his talents in action at Chill Out Momi at Millenium Park. There he'll be taking the stage as Tycho, with his visuals will also being part of the display. The show also includes music by Jonah Sharp and more visuals provided by Video Janitor with specials guests Ramp Chicago. If you can't make it you can always check out Scott's print work at his Iso50 shop.

Okay, now that I have secured my ticket, I guess I can let the cat out of the bag. You should go to OFFF. What is OFFF? Well, I’m glad you asked. OFFF is the International Festival for the Post-Digital Creation Culture happening over the first weekend in November. Or, more simply put, it’s a bunch of today’s digital gurus spilling their guts. And there’s some serious cannon fodder coming: Justin Cone, Editor of Motionographer, Scott Hansen, AKA ISO50, as well as the guy who gets everyone giddy around here, Joshua Davis. There will also be people on hand from Goodby Silverstein & Partners, Psyop, and Troika. So if that list makes you break out into a bit of a cold sweat, get over to their site and grab tickets because they’re just about sold out…and then track me down and say hello!

Scott Hansen of ISO 50 is sneaky. I don’t know how he got access to the information, but somehow he planned the release of some killer newbie prints to directly coincide with my latest moving/redecorating blitz. I’m not, like, upset about it or anything — the posters are going to look good in my new place, after all — I’m just saying that there should be some sort of waiver that lets people know that Mr. Hansen’s music, however pleasant it may be, a) lures you into a deceptive state of relaxation; b) sucks your brains out; and c) spits the contents directly at the master’s feet… so that he may find the exact dates that you will need wall decorations. I knew there was something weird about his double life as a musician/designer- no one can ever be that good at both without that extra little gift the Feds call “mind control.”

It just feels wrong, you know?

Our friend Scott Hansen of ISO 50 just released two beautiful new prints: Vuela on the left and Past is Prologue on the right. They’re both printed on a hefty 100lb natural tone stock made in USA– gorgeous! Scott also has a show coming up on the 27th in LA for his music– check out his very good tunes at Tycho Music (Multi-talented guy eh?). And be sure to stop by his online shop to purchase prints, t-shirts, etc.

Scott Hansen, the talented designer/musician behind ISO50 just released three brand new poster prints in time for the holidays. As an additional incentive, everything else in the shop is 20% off for a limited time. Pop by to check out the talented work on posters, t-shirts, or as music– literally, it’s funny how much Scott’s music sounds like his art looks (when he’s on the 1 and 2’s he goes as Tycho)– support independent design this gift-givng season.

It’s Art Dammit is the very-colorful design portfolio of Sydney, Australia based designer Jeremy Somers. His main focus is photography and illustration, which he spreads across several print and web projects. His work feels a little bit like a cross between our friends Chuck Anderson and Scott Hansen– but with its own unique twist. His work has been featured in Start Mobile, Flavorpill, Emblem Mag and more. When he isn’t playing the graphic design game, he’s applying his talents to his newest project, a t-shirt label called People Like Us Collective. Nice work!
