We’re familiar with the clean and simple style of L.A.-based Yoffy, whose work brings pop culture images into a throwback world of fewer, cooler colors. Since we last checked in with him, he’s added a handful of items to his body of work. From subjects like Anna Nicole Smith and Lindsay Lohan to the edible creations of Yoffy’s favorite sushi chef, his extensive collection has a little bit for everyone. To celebrate the holidays, Yoffy has cut pricetags in half on his paintings and sculptures. Check out what he has to offer at color.la.

L.A.-based artist and interactive art director Yoffy has previously astonished us with his refreshingly clean and colorful pop art images. His paintings of cultural icons such as the Olsen Twins and vibrant nature-ish sculptures have a stylishly sleek neatness to them that add an air of sophistication to any surrounding. Yoffy brings that same sense of suaveness to his brand new site, providing an immaculate interface to navigate through the wonder of his creations and even access his blog or take a gander at his giant tape ball. It’s a beautiful site, and well worth the visit.

Start Mobile is the first company to ever offer actually good art from credible emerging independent artists–downloadable to your mobile phone. They have quite the collection of artists with art and wallpaper from guys like David Choe, Shepard Fairey, Yoffy, I-Manifest (They also do great t-shirt designs), and even the amazing street photographer we saw a while back that goes by ‘Boogie‘. They have many of the artists that created custom rooms in the Hotel Des Arts in San Francisco.

Yoffy’s artwork is clean, smooth, and even dynamic– he uses simple shapes and color to evoke emotion, memories, and creates a ‘visual’ language with his work. His a Tetris painting is just great, paying homage to Tetris, one of the most classic and timeless video games, as well as my all around favorite video game ever. Some of his other pieces capture funky-sexy 70’s style trendy afros, and political statements about peace. It’s clear his inspiration in the vibrant colors comes from folks like Andy Warhol and Patrick Caulfield. He also says he’s inspired by the austere design work in a clockwork orange, 2001: a space odyssey, and even as he puts it ‘the smooth organic forms’ from architect Frank Gerhy.
