I don’t know how they do it, but everything at Threadless is $10 until June 6th. Shirts galore, like this one called “Take A Hike”, (left) by Hans Krebs and “Think Slow” (right) by Joshua Vanover. Time to stock up for the summer folks!
Art Lebdev Studio is the largest design company in Russia– they do industrial, graphic, and web design. What grabbed me was their product design, it’s all very simple–like this TaskWatch wall organizer. They have a lot of other really slick products up, some household items, birdhouses, electronics, and some other stuff–but I thought this was a pretty neat design. Not to mention I’ve pretty much never seen any design out of Russia.
Kiyoshi Kuroda is a Japanese artist known mostly for his intricate monotone ink drawings. He uses plants, detailed insects and other animals in his designs. He also has some pretty enticing t-shirts, some drawings over photographs, and a few other interesting things. Not related to his artwork–but definitely wins aesthetic points with me, is his website layout. It’s fun, intuitive, and very clean–check it out.
