I just received the ‘Spear Edition Waffle Racers’, I designed a few weeks ago at the 255 Elizabeth Nike iD Design Studio. They turned out really nice, slate grey with a metallic shine, grey suede, and yellow stitched highlights. They were really inspired by the monochromatic grey shoes they have in the studio to ‘try on’–nothing flashy, and the hot splash of yellow stitching should be credited to my budding designer kid brother. An all around good shoe as we move into colder, grayer, winter months! The iD studio was a great experience and I wouldn’t mind going back through the experience again. Sacramento, California based ISO50 is a small and really great design shop with some truely inspiring and beautiful work. THe designer Scott Hansen has done everything from high quality print posters and photography to branding and logos– and he even has a small portfolio of music on his site. He recently released a new line of t-shirts, a really solid line with some of his signature design style, as well as a few limited edition hand signed prints.
