Downtown for Democracy is a political action committee founded by professionals in the arts, music, fashion, film, design, and general creative media– with a goal to mobilize America’s creative community to engage new voters and elect progressive candidates. Their new line of Merchandise is really special– with designs from folks like United Bamboo, Zaldy, Francisco Costa of Calvin Klein, and other. Check out their collection, my favorite shirts are Take Back New York, Resurcam, and Exercise.

Our friends over at I-Manifest just released three really great t-shirts for their Fall collection. The independent Brooklyn based label keeps pushing the boundaries, and this time around has everything from a full-wrapprinted shirt to beautiful five color designs screen printed on super soft t-shirts. As usual they ensure their products to be original and fresh. Also, a heads up to anyone in Brooklyn on October, 8th– they’re having an open studio to help christen their new space. More info on the special event is up on their site.

I recently received some mimobot’s from Mimoco to review– I know they’re just a little USB drive in a plastic case, but they’re really quite adorable. This is what happens when designer toys meet electronics– all around fun. The little USB flash drives are designed by Yahid Rodriquez, and come in sizes from 256MB to 1GB. I saw them make the rounds a while ago, but was skeptical until I actually saw some samples. They even come pre-loaded with a DJ mix to get you ready for the day!
