I’ve always been a big fan of the UNKL toys, especially the Hazmapos series. In celebration of the super-special B1 Series, UNLK created a limited run of “sales” posters. They’re hand screened, signed, numbered and are only $10 each. Of the 60 they printed their are less than 20 left. The B1 Series toys (on the right) are also pretty affordable at only $20 a pop. UNLK Bran is ahead of the curve on the designer toy front, no doubt about it. Get these well you can!

Many were showing their talent for the intricate and unique at the Milan Furniture Fair 2006, but it was Kota Nezu, with his Jellyfish Stool, that caught my eye. The former Toyota car designer came together with Paul Lighterness, Kaoru Tsukamoto, and Kei Yamamoto to form Co/Ex, which came together for their entry into the Salone Satellite. Kota’s Jellyfish is constructed of steel, acrylic, and aluminum and contains a film of water and an LED which, when plugged into an audio source, pulses to the sound of music, displaying the shadowy ripples below the stool. A hybrid of seating and visual display, the jellyfish really feels the beat!

I could have swarn it was Moustache March– but I guess I was wrong because the public has spoken and ‘you can never have enough Moustache’. I bring you Mustache May, a month-long celebration of the manly moustache. “It is not a competition. It is a gathering of friends, with various moustaches, coming together to display their moustache love and to share tales of just how different life is with this infamous fabled facial hair construction.” Check out the website for dozens of stellar-stash photos.
