If your like us, you can’t stand being out of the loop and with Mobile MatchCast, a free application for your cell phone, you won’t be. Every Point and Yahoo! have teamed up to develop a system that delivers real-time game info directly to your mobile device. The application can be downloaded free (that’s right free!) from the tournaments homepage. It doesn’t seem to work with our Blackberry, but works fine on most Nokia and Sony Ericsson’s.

The new v1.06 iFG represents the lightest soccer boot in Puma’s arsenal and serves one purpose - get you to the ball faster. The boots upper is constructed from new, extremely thin ConTec material, and the fine tuned, pointed AptoLast Lace Wrap System helps mold the shoe to your feet. Plus, the grass field graphics act like camouflage, confusing your defender with every dribble, pass, and goal!

The World Cup is always an interesting time to see how competitive brands push for market share– in this case, Adopt-a-German is a part of the Puma World Cup Campaign. It’s a project involving 12 bloggers based out of the 12 different hosting cities in Germany. They were all brought on to write about off the beaten path stuff happening around the World Cup. The idea is that you’ll hear info you wont hear anywhere else about the local festivities– things you wouldn’t find through most World Cup coverage websites– think of it as an alternative information service for people heading to each city to see the game. You can get to know each adoptee (The Frankfurt girl is a total hottie), read their blogs and choose your favorite by ‘adopting them’ on there blog page. Puma clearly gets the power of blogging, nicely done.

These water bottles, from Swiss maker Sigg, have been over a year in the making. Beginning in May 2005 Sigg launched a plan to thrill fans with a gradual release of 12, team themed, bottle designs. Emblazoned with traditional logos and classic colorways, Sigg keeps you hydrated in style and because they’re constructed from a solid piece of aluminum, they’ve got durability to boot! Admit it, it’s time to trash that old college edition stiicker-laden Nalgene bottle for something a little more chic.
