What if every time you searched the Internet it earned money for a good causes? That’s exactly what GoodSearch does, powered by Yahoo! It’s just like any other search engine except each time you search, a donation is made to various (rotating) charities, foundations and schools. I have a feeling the folks over at Google do their share of donating to good causes, but they certainly don’t let you submit a charity the way GoodSearch does!

Hella-LouisHella Louie is the online body of work comprised of design, illustration, motion, and print of artist and all around talented guy Bryan Louie. Most recently you might have noticed his work on the Gnarls Barkley “Crazy” video in collaboration with the BLIND Design Team, but his creations have been floating around everywhere, right under your nose, including recent commercial campaigns for Microsoft and the Scion tC and print work for Jane Magazine and Arkitip. Bryan looks outside the commercial art world for much of his inspiration and with about 3 years under his belt, and some pretty big name clientele, is utilizing theses influential elements for the visual benefit of all. His work is a bombardment of color and superb illustrations that when coupled with motion creates a fantasy world any imagination could get lost in.

AdamokokThis Saturday, August 12, Seattle Art Studio OkOk will be hosting Oregon artist Adam Haynes’ “Walks with Evad”, his first gallery showing. Haynes recently finished the illustrations for the NKE 6.0 campaign and Nike actually built the car he illustrated in his designs (shown above). His collection of work crafts a “Northwest narrative encompassing the rural periphery that is easily forgotten in the urban enclave.” More simply stated he believes that it is our impact, the physical impression that we leave behind, that defines our landscape. Adam will be painting a mural on the wall of the gallery of an abandoned car and 100 limited edition screen prints will be available retailing for $20. A talented artist being hosted by a great studio, look for more from OkOk artists in the upcoming months and we’ll give you the exclusive results from Adam’s opening and maybe have a few of those prints for some lucky readers!
