This post is in no way meant to condone breaking TSA rules, but from someone who has been traveling non-stop lately and completely irked by the current carry-on restrictions, I had to share the following discovery from the GO OHSO founder Robert Trocino. If you’re unfamiliar with the OHSO Travel Toothbrush, it’s a nifty contraption that carries the toothpaste within the body of the toothbrush, and it’s damn sexy, too. Not being able to carry a toothbrush on long flights has frustrated many. This is kind of scary that it passed by with no issue, but maybe this is also a potential temporary solution for frequent flyers?

I just returned from my trip. In the Austin airport, I had a brand new OHSO in the box and my personal brush fully loaded. The Colgate tube alerted a search of my bag and they confiscated it. They passed the fully loaded chrome OHSO so I was able to carry it on the plane. Security may have assumed it was a pen. The fully loaded brush passed in Memphis as well. Of course I’m not advocating doing this or claiming the same results in other airports, I’m just reporting the facts. If they had wanted to confiscate my personal brush, I was willing to empty it out right then and there.

Our pals over at Weeklydrop, Rob ‘Hepdog’ Heppler and Jeff Carvalho got absolutely wild at the Magic Trade Show in Vegas last week. They got up close and personal interviews with folks like the legendary Stash, New York jewelry designer Bijules, Proof7 and unique fashion line creators Homeroom Clothing. The results were gritty, honest, authentic and sometimes downright hilarious. If you have any interest in sneakers or streetwear, go listen to these 4 new episodes, these guys are totally on fire.

Update: I failed to mention earlier that all these interviews took place and were made possible by The KDU Annex in Vegas where they debuted issues 8 and 9 of The Royal magazine. Also, all photo credit goes to the one and only Sidney Lo.

Rock’n Clothing’s line of vintage rock t-shirts continues to get better and better with time. The young designers quickly expanded from their own basement (one founder is now a JoshSpear.com contributor) to the shelves of many of the top boutiques across the country. In true rock and roll fashion, the t-shirts are printed on a super soft 100 percent cotton blank which is put through various washes and treatments to make them feel like it came straight out of your dad’s hippie days. Be sure to check out their online store for more.
