One look at the WHITEvoid homepage and you can understand why it was FWA's site of the day this past Friday. The Berlin-based interactive art and design firm gives you the total package in a matter of speaking; they only ask that you click to open that package before a veritable Pandora's box featuring their top-notch creative work is unleashed. The outstanding interactive installations and products the company has created for exhibitions, trade, festivals, events, concerts, and clubs are offered up on visually stunning platter and arranged neatly into seven categories and twenty items overall, that seem to just be floating in what else but a white void. Their creative genius is no secret as WHITEvoid counts both The BMW Group and The Jewish Museum of Berlin among their wide range of past clients. Maybe it's time you entered the White Void and discovered a new dimension of creativity for yourself.

Unless you’re from Alaska, brilliant light shows probably aren’t a nightly occurrence in your backyard. British company Firewinder has remedied this, by taking a typical outdoor mobile and putting tiny LEDs all over it. The result: a trippy, spiraling strobe that looks like Close Encounters of the Third Kind left a prop in our garden. And because Firewinder are environmentally-considerate Brits, their product is battery-free and recyclable…which is more than we can say about our lawn gnome.

Sooner or later, as time has told, many graphic designers and street artists make the bounce to designing apparel. With rock stars, the two creative outlets aren’t always yin and yang — like, imagine the potential disaster of Iggy Pop launching his own swimwear ‘08 line. It’d all be in leather and you’d probably have to keep pulling it out of your ass. But when you bring Brazil’s much-adored indie rock export Cansei de Ser Sexy to the drawing table, a band known for their sometimes bizarre get-ups on stage that purposely match their playful musical demeanor, you get the great collection they’ve done for Zapping. It shouldn’t be that much of a surprise though; the multi-talented members of CSS have backgrounds in fashion and art, especially singer Lovefoxxx, who honed the science of print design probably during the same time she did her catchy lyrics. She’s done a nice pencil print that features on the majority of the items, including a men’s button-down shirt and hoodie. Girls can choose tanks, accessories and leggings so bright they require sunglasses for those who dare stare at them straight on.

The Zapping/CSS special line is sold only online and there’s no word on whether they’ll deliver out of Brazil, but if you’re that much of a fan, hit me up and I’ll see if I can help you out.
