Time seems to fly when you’re having fun, but we found a watch that makes it seem as if it were moving a bit slower. The UNO 24 from Botta is just the type of timepiece that will help you make those good times last. It only has one hand, which corresponds to the position of the sun in the sky — like that dial thingy. It takes a full day for this watch to complete a full rotation, helping you look at the time in a whole new frame of mind.

The thought of being a lab rat never held much appeal for us, but if you were to replace running on that wheel for endless hours with riding in an innovative new vehicle, we just might bite. The Mini-E is looking for a few good drivers to take their groundbreaking, 100% electric, zero emissions model for a spin. Did we say a few? We meant 500. The Mini-E Field Trial offers environmental enthusiasts and technology fanatics the chance to get a first hand experience in shaping the electric car revolution by taking a year long test drive of this lithium-ion battery powered subcompact. By agreeing to lease the car for one year, participants will play an integral role in the improvement of technology by answering key questions related to how these cars could better complement our day to day lives. If you have the pioneering spirit and want to be a part of automotive history, we recommend heading over to the MINI website and filling out an application now.

Over the past four years a variety of talented artists at The People Like Us Collective have created some pretty solid shirt designs. We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but their reign of tee supremacy is abruptly coming to an end. While they’ll continue to produce quality iPod cases, Jeremy Somers and company have announced that after Christmas they will be closing up their T-shirt store for good. On the positive side, the Aussie-based top shop is commemorating the occasion by cutting prices in half in efforts to move those final stashes of stock. So hurry up and help them go bye-bye with a bang before all of those tasty duds disappear.

The only thing better than having a few days off and pouring over beautiful books in the family living room? Saving money and having your choice of artistic topics to choose from. The Hong Kong-based viction:design team is offering 20% to 40% off select viction:ary titles, including the visual illustration-focused Fashion Wonderland and the spatial design book When Space Meets Art/When Art Meets Space. If their books about collaboration in visual communication are still available come the end of ‘08, they could make a good houseguest gift when the next holidays roll around.

The last major consumer device intended to make mobile phone use easier brought us the unfortunate Bluetooth headset, so it’s great to see that the experienced electronics team at Rivet has introduced a system with interchangeable metal clips for easy wear. Their $14 GoClip seems well worth the promise of never losing “your phone or MP3 player again” (if only). As many city dwellers don’t have the opportunity to take advantage of products that can be affixed to car dashboards — although the company offers that too — the Horizontal Leather Bag and its plethora of pockets is a better choice for hauling daily devices.
