We’re all super excited about our Spear Collective Computer Arts cover this month, and because we believe that reciprocity is a beautiful thing, we’re hoping you’ll take a few minutes to go over to the Computer Arts forum and cast a vote in our honor. It requires a little bit of effort (registering for the forums, etc) but we’d really appreciate it. And, if you’re so lovely to do so, leave me a comment here and I’ll see if we can’t dig up some goodies for a few of you if we win the poll. Sound good? GOOD!

Websites need to develop a model that allows people to vote or speak on things without having to register every time. The current blog comments system is a good example of this, but it’s easily gamed by dishonest people.

I’m not going to go vote. I never do if I have to register for anything I don’t care about. Yes, I like this site. Yes, I think it’s cool. But I think all these registrations are a waste of time and the contracts you’re forced into are unconscionable.

Maybe I’m just annoyed because somewhere I’ve registered at in the last two weeks sold my info to spammers >

Done and done.

Andrew, I understand your sentiment. However, CA is a great resource and the forum is worth registering for (I’ve been registered over there for a while).
