It’s amazing to us how Craigslist can be all at once indispensable and cumbersome. Browsing through tons of irrelevant postings takes a lot out of a man who just wants to sell a pink 1956 Philco refrigerator in Chicago, find an apartment for under $2000 a month in DUMBO, and hook up with a leather-fetishist in San Francisco. Crgslst (which claims it’s “so fast, the vowels are left behind”) understands. Using an AJAX search API, this site grabs from Craigslist’s RSS feeds to not only allow you to search faster, but also browse multiple cities at once. You should definitely go check out the sexy before Mr. Newmark has them shut down.

damn that’s rad, thanks for sharing. the multiple city system makes it a lot easier for me to search in both SD and LA instead of having two tabs open.

This is a really nice search interface. It would be really slick if you found some way to integrate a 4th panel on the page to view the article without having to browse to a new page.

Yea he should have it so when you click on a listing it just expands downwards.

Excellent use of AJAX indeed. Simple, clean and well-presented.

Excellent use of Craigslist here too… Enjoy:
