Ten years ago I didn’t think anyone did vintage clothing better then my friends Mr. Abercrombie and Mr. Fitch, but since then times have really changed and Ever clothing is a perfect example. Started by Jason Bleick, who is an OC native and former design VP for Quiksilver, Jason really knows his way around the clothing industry. The major appeal and selling point in Ever is the detail and quality of every garment they make. For example, the popular sweatshirt they make comes thermal lined, grinded out edges, a distressed patch and amazing riri zipper. Each garment comes with a pouch that contains ear plugs, which is Bleick’s way of showing the influences of his travels in his clothing line. Currently offering a complete line for fall containing numerous buttery-soft vintage tee’s, hoodies, and pants, Ever is definitely a line I am going to keep an eye on. Check out their site to find a retailer near you!

The ever sweatshirt is expensive, but it is one of the most comfortable hoodies I have ever owned.

What’s wrong with their website? It says I don’t have flash installed even though I have flash 9…

For some reason it only works in internet explorer

I treated myself - over $250 + - to an ever sweatshirt and within 2 months the seams on the BOTH the arms began to open up. Since it was happening on both arms it made sense it was a design flaw. I look the top to the point of purchase and they kindly sent the hoodie back. Not two weeks after it was returned the hoodie started splitting once again in the SAME exact places it was restitched. I requested a replacement considering it would now be the 2nd repair on the same area, the offer was refused and it was merely restitched a third time. Which definitely changed the look of the garmet.
Maybe Parker should purchase a piece and give it a try before he writes such rave reviews about the apparel. Sure its a great lookin line but with the abundance of vintage-sque clothing on the market does the lack of quality justify the very steep price. At this point, from first hand experience, I would say no.

I personally own a Ever sweatshirt, as well do many of my friends. You may
have had a bad experience with yours, but I assure you that in comparison to
what else is currently being pushed on the market, Ever is the best in that
price range. If you go and buy a morphine sweatshirt for the same price,
the quality will be subpar.

Also, I am not sure where you bought your sweatshirt, but 250+ is way over
retail anywhere. They can easily be had at 170 from activeendeavors.com
. I am sorry you had a bad experience with
yours, but I stand by my review and it is based on first hand experience.

Lastly, clothing lines do not just charge 200 dollars for a hoody merely
because they feel like it. It is all relevant to what goes into it.

They are $286 at your source of AE
http://www.activeendeavors.com/product.asp?catid=3184&listtype=c&pfid=AED14809

And if all this hard work goes into the SS to back up the price - why did it split even after it was repaired on once?

A small company that cares about customer service and happy consumers would have replaced the sweatshirt not repaired it 2x.

That really is sad that a hoodie will fall apart that soon at that price and I would have to agree with Star about quality. I own and have been in the apparel bus for a long time and own a vintage line called Totalitee. I also do a lot of private label for True Religion, vintage disney, Literature to name a few and to say that the more expensive the garment is means that they spend more money on manufacturing it, that is not always true. You would be amazed on what some lines get for using an American apparel blank and a one color screen. If one of my customers had such a problem I would make sure to keep them happy and replace the item.

These hoodies are well built but you have to be reasonable when caring them for them. You have to follow the garment care instructions.
They are a gentle wash only and don’t machine dry them either.

I have two hoodies, a hoodless, a coat, and several t’s…they are all great.

Ever is one of my favorites…definitely comfortable….although the riri zipper thing is BS. Every one of my zippers are ykk.

Five Venoms Tuesday, 10.10.06 @ 9:00 pm

Actually, I’ve seen it both ways. My hoodie has a YKK zipper, but their (admittedly pricey) parka this season and an ‘upscale’ hoodie I saw on eBay both had riri zippers. Which I’ll readily admit sort of sucks, but it’s still a damn nice piece of clothing (my hoodie) either way.

I bought a pair of fairly new Ever jeans at a thrift shop for $55. Those jeans are my favorite but they are now acquiring many holes and rips. The fabric is pretty flimsy and it tears easily.

VW Sunday, 07.08.07 @ 9:21 pm

I bought a pair of $200 plus Ever jeans that ripped after only 10 wearings. I am going to contact them in LA and ask for my money back.

Sue Thursday, 08.09.07 @ 7:40 pm

I bought a pair of new Ever jeans at a boutique. Those jeans are my favorite but they are now acquiring many holes. Why? The fabric seems to be really cheap!!! What’s up Designer Guy….. I am better off buying Gap Jeans or Inc at Macys….

Ty Sunday, 12.30.07 @ 9:30 pm

Yeah, it seem that Ever isn’t ready to take that next step. The verdict isn’t out on this line yet. I think I’m sicking with the due at Nice Collective.

Jer Sunday, 06.29.08 @ 5:27 pm

Ever has quickly become one of my favorite brands. I buy their hoodies and t shirts. My girlfriend has 5 of them (she makes more money than I). I have 3 of their t shirts and they are unique and wear great. I have brands I buy for jeans and such but t’s and hoodies, its ever as often as I can afford it.
