…but Obama’s a wiener. What does he know?

I’m getting so sick of trying to make Obama popular through this silly branding gimmick…We’re talking about the darn president of the US, not a clothing line for heaven’s sake! He’s a dangerous trend to get sucked into.

I agree with turtle… look at Obama’s friends Rev. Wright, Ayres, Pfleger… do we really want a president who has been influenced by all of these haters?!

With all due respect, promoting fresh change isn’t a bad branding idea to me, if you see it that way. Buttons, tees and posters have always been a part of presidential campaigns since decades past — so this marketing tactic is not new at all. What might be is they’re finally realizing that to get the attention of younger people, you’re going to have to update the message for 2008. You have to remember that also it’s people like Shepard Fairey who obviously feel so strongly about the matter that they are getting involved on a will of their own. I think because it’s done in a way that people in our world can identify with, it gets mistaken as branding.

for real. Who gives a shit about hipster-tilted useless Obama-rama propaganda eyesore trinkets. And yeah….AS IF! It’s assumed that EVERYONE in the art/design community is automatically voting for this dude. I mean, yeah, props to the cat, he’s got it wired for being a nifty and dashing television personality and all…..but c’mon, people,….he’s a smug, arrogant pseudo intellectual who thinks he’s got the world sussed out. I’m not against fresh change, but what in the world is he going to change???? He carelessly throws out the word ‘change’ every 7 words. What’s he going to change and why should we believe he’s actually going to do it; think he has any idea how to do it; or even came up with that stuff himself?

He’s surrounded himself with all these worthless people and only distances himself when presidentially beneficial…’presidentially’ might have just been made up, but it seems to work here.

What on earth? You guys make it sound like his speeches, 1 on 1 interviews with journalists and press conferences consist of nothing, but of him saying “change we can believe”, or “yes we can”. Jesus. Short attention span, much?

Quit dragging your feet on reading up on his policy proposals on his website and educating yourselves on what he stands for. Unless you want to - for whatever reason - want to believe that he’s all hot air.

who really thinks that button is “non-ugly?” first of all, it’s a rip-off of a button the campaign already has (in fairness, theirs is pretty bad too). second, that’s some shitty dithering (and i’m not just talking about the web compression). who designed this piece of crap, and what self-respecting artist can justify it?
