Zoe Regoczy is a U.K.-based designer with a load of new prints available in her shop. Her style doesn't include a lot of variation, mostly layered colors of girl's faces. Well — not just any girls. These girls are dangerous, like James Bond's femme fatals. Her prints aren't on sale, but for £20 we're tempted to redecorate our walls with the faces of our lovers from when we were spies. Check out her site for a full portfolio and sketchbook.

There is something really fun about describing things as French. Of course, it depends on the context; on JoshSpear.com we usually mean eloquent design mixed with some street art — mixed with awesome. So what if I told you there is a new site that focuses on the emergent French design and art print market and it is in English? L'affiche Moderne is something along the lines of threadless, in the sense that artist are invited to submit works. In great French fashion there isn't a user community to vote on what's cool. The owners of the site deciding if they like it or not. If they do, 300 limited edition prints are made on some nice paper and they go on sale. It's that easy, and that judgmental. Fortunately, they have great taste and prices — prints are 29€ or 59€. Go impress your Francophile friends.

A quick update to Granada Design; the Spanish silkscreeners have turned word into art….wart if you will. Based on a Tetris-like composition letters that form city names like Barcelona, Rome, and New York, they’re great if a) you have a second grade literacy, b) you’re kind of provincial, and c) you’re need some new wall art.

Using the digital printing process, known to the French as Giclée, UK-based gallery Cosh offers a fairly low-cost (about $200-$300…more than poster, but less than hanging plasma TVs everywhere) art alternative, and some wicked good artists. Among their stable are Pandayoghurt, Vault49, Hydro74, and the oddly named Steven Wilson. The art ships ready to hang, printed on age-resistant Da Vinci paper and stuck in a slick metal frame.

Whether it’s t-shirts, paintings, or prints, UK-based Lowercase Industries shies away from mass production in favor of a more personal touch. Artist Michael Latimer, whom you may know from his Enjin skateboard decks designs (kooky oblong animals that look like a Murakami nightmare), has designed these limited edition Surrogate prints with a creative use of mixed-media; the background of each piece is first hand-painted, a few unique sketches are added, and then screen printed with a collage of Latimer’s characters. If you want a more wearable version, head over to Threadless and check out some of Latimer’s shirt designs.

We always like to see new art from old friends, especially when that old friend is someone we like as much as Zeptonn lab. We are simply delighted to note there’s some fresh new limited edition canvas prints up on his website for sale. The canvases range from 0 x 40 cm to a whopping 150 x 70 cm and exhibit Zeptonn's familiarly playful and silly sensibility, evidenced by his smiley monsters in fantastic surroundings. If you're in need of some artwork to brighten up your surroundings, we suggest you get a move on to the Zeptonn site — there’s only 20 prints per canvas available and they won't last long.

Our boy Chuck Anderson just updated his site, No Pattern, with twelve new additions to his already burly print collection. Like his older pieces, these newbies represent more of Chuck’s incredible light-saturated, brightly surreal work, and we think they’re way better than anything Thomas Kinkade ever laid hands on. Be sure to check out ‘Futureriches,’ a collaboration with Nigel Dennis of ElectricHeat, and the Drawn Series, a collection of — you guessed it — prints that started out as Chuck’s drawings. Brilliant!

Everyone wants a piece of Tavis Coburn. Clients like Nike, Time Magazine, the NFL, Discovery Channel, and GQ, amongst others have coughed up the big bucks for the privilege of having this Toronto-based master draftsman create authentic images for their campaigns. Now, we know you’re no mega-global corporate behemoth, but one look at Coburn's remarkably retro 1940's- and 50's-inspired renderings will have you wishing your last name was “Starbucks” so you might have the cash to commission a coveted canvas all your own.We, however, have some great news for you...you don't have that kind of loot lying around in order to get your hands on some of these astonishing images. All you have to do is head to Tavis Coburn's online shop and purchase a print that suits your fancy, regardless of whether or not you're the type who has fancy suits to wear.

If you’re looking to infuse a little bit of vintage into your art collection, look no further than Raydel Photography; the simple, elegant and whimsical mixed media prints from the Florida-based self-taught photographer are not only incredibly affordable, but totally not that Target print you bought and are attempting to pass off as something you found in a thrift shop somewhere, whose whereabouts you’ve conveniently forgotten. Which, in our opinion, is always a good thing.

Remember the old days when you’d get scratch-n’-sniff stickers from your teachers for doing a good job? Well, apparently artist/illustrator/designer Liam Devowski got a LOT of them. For a recent print, instead of sticking to conventional inks, Devowski used ketchup and mustard as his medium. I have to say, I wouldn’t have expected it to work so well, but the result is pretty impressive. The colors are rich and Devowski’s Hotdog Hearts print is definitely evocative of…ketchup and mustard.

I also really like his Best Friends Become Strangers print; the simplicity and humor make it fun, and I get the “drifting apart” sentiment easily enough. Have a look at Liam’s site — he’s in SF now and looking for some people to interact and explore with, so drop him a line!

With all your monthly expenses, It’s kinda hard to be an avid collector of influential art. Well what if we told you that you could afford a DALEK? You’d probably say, “that’s crazy, his original works were selling for as much as $8K each at his last show.” And while we’re not talking about an original DALEK, we’re talking about a print, the folks at Ring Decoder have gone through a grueling 80 hour process using 26 screens to produce a series of 100 brilliantly vivid prints to ensure you feel almost as special. You’ve got to act fast though, only 80 of the works are available to the public and the cost runs on a sliding scale. “The first 50 orders will be $250. The next 15 will be $275 and the final 15 will be $300. One customer will be eligible for a free doodled test print which can be viewed at the end of the view process feature.” The only other way to get a Dalek might just involve spending your life savings.

We always love to write about Chicago artist and our long-time pal Chuck Anderson (mainly because posting pics of his sparkly prints make our site look so pretty), so here’s to the man for sending another awesome heads-up our way. Chuck has updated his site with this newbie as well as two reprints (Places You Can’t Imagine, and Godlike, if you’re curious), prices of which range from $35-65. No Pattern, the site whence your prints will come, is also serving a tasty New Era hat (as well as the book and shirts we’ve written of before) so if you want to cover your walls, your head, your brains and your body in one fly swoop, Chuck’s gotcha covered.

What’s not to like about these new 5-color prints from Grant Barnhart, our friend and fellow Spear Collectiver? The one on the left (grrrrr!) is actually a concert poster for Andrew Bird who, by the way, is one hell of a whistler. The one on the right, ‘Conversation with Asphalt,’ has all of the traditional Barnhart animal imagery, but this time it’s tied into a sea-faring story. If you can read his writing, maybe it will guide you to the sunken treasure. They’re available online at DUI Studio– $75 for ‘Conversation with Asphalt,’ and $20 for the Andrew Bird poster. Hurry up, before Carmel buys them all!

Aaron Feiger and Ashley Marcinczyk, the ridiculously talented duo behind Popjunkie (also, Romantic Static) have just released a tonne of new merch into their online store, and the nautically-inspired, historically whimsical offerings are definitely worth checking out. I love that their women’s shirts come not only in the standard baby-tee, but also in super-flirty babydoll and v-necks as well; the guys shirts are so rockin’ they have me doing the standard Carmel/Heather lament “if only I had a boyfriend to buy these for.” And, if you’re a total weirdo and tshirts aren’t your “thing,” you can also scoop some prints for your barren walls or throw pillows to cushion your uptight ass on. Score!
