New York-based photographer Yusuke Nishimura may be just out of art school, but he has already accomplished a great deal in his brief career. His unique brand of cinematic photography has already garnered him plenty of praise and prestigious awards; CMYK Magazine named him number forty on their list of aspiring creatives. He also won the Mac on Campus photo contest while at the Art Center College of Design and took home the award of American Photo of the Year for 2007. The majority of Nishimura's personal projects explore his inner vision, relying on a lifetime of memories to find beauty in the world around him, whether that world is under his desk or on an airport runway. The Japan-born shutterbug's narrative portraits tend to make strong statements that embed ideas and create messages that can communicate with the world over. We think that message is loud and clear...it says an extraordinary talent has arrived.
